Re: Car Limits (aka Walshy days)
Thinking of booking another one of these, I’d have preferred Thruxton with the skid pan, but there aren’t any weekend dates coming up.
For the Midlands guys, Stafford still has Sundays 19th April, 28th June, and 26th July, anyone else interested?

I considered this car too expensive at circa £75k when the first edition came out, back when the quality issues were still unknown it looked poor value compared to a cayman. An inflation busting nigh on 50% rise is insane.

With camera phones and social media, we can see events in real time and make our own minds up, which makes the lying even more unbelievable, plus we should learn from history.
No surprise that tourism has taken a nose dive.

I have owned the purple z exactly 3 weeks and despite being away for a few days Ive managed to do almost 600 miles or 50% of the break in miles.
Over the last 7 years I have owned 4 other G series BMWs , all have a similar looking dash board which makes the switch to manual even more strange and it ...

Re: track day insurance
I guess that would be my concern, like on the roads now, it's other people I worry about.
That was my reason for getting a quote, although you would hope an Evo evening isnt full of people who cant drive, or worse, people that cant handle the power of their stage 3 Audi s3.
Im only paying £260 ...

Planning to go to the Evo Doningtonevening session in June.
The insurance quote is over £500 and a £5.2k excess, genuinely more than I pay for a full year on the road, which surprised me.
Im sure I paid about £200 for a year on my mx5, appreciate that was circa 20 years ago on a much lower value ...

I bought a poverty spec 1.3l ford ka with the black bumpers and everything from my mam for £1500.
I traded it in for £3000 when I got my sportka in 2006

Im a big fan of the mk3 mr2, I looked at a 180bhp conversion once that turned out to be a ropey project, but they are still on my list. Sadly even the garage queens seem to suffer from rust.
