Re: Cycling Thread
There's some more tough stages coming too. I love how they made Stage 20 a hellish double climb up the same mount 😂 https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/qvQ2NSkkfarH3mSKM6LPFU-970-80.jpg Pog has just described this as "a really nice stage close to Slovenia" now expecting him to keep hi...

Vehicle Lifespan Caps
A new study has found that capping the maximum age of vehicles and forcing people to buy new ones has around a 0.1% decrease in cumulative GHG emissions while having a 2-7% increase in primary material demands. Because obviously the emissions associated with creating a new car are massive. This is w...

I wanna vote Binface again
In reality I sincerely hope Labour get voted in and have enough of a run to reform some public services and get a few things done in food before they run out of money.

Re: Meaty goodness
Where is your articles on increased cancer ? The problem with carnivore stuff is that they class red meat in the same category as fast food, even the NHS do. Which is mad considering the chemicals and crap put in fast food and the lack of it in quality red meat. The biggest thing with a diet is it ...

Re: Meaty goodness
@Gavster - one for your diet challenge? (though judging by your current paleo one this might be even worse for your energy levels?) I am tempted; however, there's no serious long-term evidence about the health impacts of the carnivore diet (e.g. full life-span from population-level data), and based...

Re: Running
Tbh you never get away from it unless you're an elite runner I did some inter-club races over the winter and would get overtaken by kids or teenagers despite me having a ~19 minute 5k time back then

Re: Your fleet running reports
Incidentally, on the way there, at one of the big roundabouts near here there were some crusty protesters with "less solar more real farms" placards. I didn't realise anti-solar was a subset of environmental issues ? Anyway, I considered shouting "GET A FCUKING HAIRCUT, HIPPY" b...

The footage they were showing of the recovery effort demonstrates that the weather and visibility was absolutely atrocious, which also point towards a genuine accident.

Re: Cycling Thread
Anyone else watching the Giro? Pogacar  is like watching an adult race against teenagers. WTF. I'm curious how it'll play out at the Tour with Vingegaard recovering from injury and Pogacar's early seasons races, as well as the Giro, show he's on stellar form. Could easily be Pog's year for the ...

Re: Fury vs Usyk
I respect Fury for how open he is about his mental health. For someone from his traveller background to open up about suicide, anxiety, OCD, bipolar etc and talk about them freely and in depth is a massive thing and has probably helped a helluva lot of people. It’s a great message when one of the ha...
Re: Running
I watched that yesterday! Firstly it’s an amazing run to casually do sub-3 hour for a laugh. Secondly he is utterly mental for not having trained further than 10miles in the Crocs
Re: Rum Fred
It feels like a few years since gin was supposed to be replaced by rum as the new spirit of choice but nobody seems to have told the supermarkets; it’s still easy to get a wide selection of gins and harder to find a good choice of rums. It has been happening slowly, Gordon's sales by volume in the ...

Re: Fury vs Usyk
Very impressive from Usyk. He's a proper boxer. I don't know much about boxing, however that sounds spot on. Fury looks like a person who was born with a freakishly exceptional talent for dodging punches and hitting people, almost like he has a sixth sense. On the other hand, Usyk looked like someo...
