Re: How did you end up owning the car(s) that you have now?

I woke up one day and decided I wanted an X308 XJ8, so I sold a load of stuff I had laying around unused on eBay over the course of 3 weeks.

I bought an X308 XJ8 with the £1,500 I'd made, and wafted happily ever after*

Re: Your fleet running reports

Balls. Just got in the Jag and the a/c is dead. I don't know if it's all leaked out (it held a vacuum before he filled it) or whether somethign else has failed. It was fine Friday afternoon when I went out and hasn't moved since. Ah well.. will have to take it up to the blokes workshop and ask him t...

A/C re-gas on the Jaguar today, so I'm no longer cooking inside it. £78 well spent.

If you just want Sky F1 without all the other crappy kick-balling/throwing/hitting channels then you're buggered it seems

The rears were down to 3mm, so I was expecting them to check those but they never did! Mine had the optional runflats, which I was at first annoyed about, but I couldn't really fault them. Maybe the ride might have been better on PS4s

Re: Your fleet running reports

BMW M140i Shadow Edition - EOTR 2 years 3 months, 24,700 miles. 1 service. No tyres, brakes or oil. A bit of coolant. 1 windscreen. Many trips through France, 1 track day. A lot of smiles. I like the look of the new M135i but I doubt it has the same charm. Once I bought the Jaguar it's days were la...

I watched the first 3 episodes last night. It’s very good. Not sure it’s Chernobyl good, but definitely worth watching.

It would seem the answer anyway is to buy an M440i and a Caterham for less than an M4.

FAO Canoeists

We're going Canoeing on Saturday. Neither of us have canoed before. Neither of us are very fit.

Are we going to die?

Advice welcome unless it's don't go canoeing, as we've already paid :p

Garage round the corner from me are £38/hour and there isn't much they can't do. I see plenty of classic cars inc Porches there and they did a good job on my XJ8.

Re: Your fleet running reports

So I thought I'd try and find an annoying rattle that appeared a couple of weeks ago. It sounded like it was somewhere in the dash, left of centre. http://gallery.ov9.co.uk/images/2021/05/22/IMG_2235.jpg Not too hard to get the trim off and the radio/hvac controls out, and I discovered someone had p...
