Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Looks like a cracking trip JL. My girlfriend has booked her Mod1 and Mod2 for a couple of weeks time. She did a "transition" session yesterday at the training centre where she got to ride the SV650 she'll do her test on, so it's not a complete shock. What do doubt will be a shock is what i...

Re: Elite Dangerous

I bought an Imperial Eagle this evening, and kitted it the fvck out for some serious ass-kicking. It's a great ship, and within 10 mins I'd earned myself 400k in bounty rewards just by going to a resource extraction location and scanning every ship for the wanteds.

Re: Elite Dangerous

I'm on PC. I have it on xbox too as my lad is getting into it a bit, but I don't use it personally. I've got 101 million in the bank now - enough to trade in my fully A-rated Python for an Anaconda and have 30 mil or so left over, but reading the above it sounds like it'd be pretty low-spec and I sh...

Often you have no choice. I can't fly to visit my parents without using them. I've never had any bother either. Must be lucky I guess!

Re: Elite Dangerous

The saving grace of coming all the way here is they sell a Type 9 Heavy here. So I might upgrade my 7 to that and truck on back home and continue my hauling around Sha Gigas

I came all the way from Sha Gigas to Robigo to find my Type-7 is too big to dock anywhere but Hauser's Reach. Balls!

Re: Elite Dangerous

I just had a quick look at the passenger mission board - 640 jumps *each way* to do one route to earn when I just did in 4, 1 jump trips ferrying superconductors. Um no ta!

27.6 unladen, 16 fully loaded. It's A rated except for thrusters (B) and power plant (C) though.

Re: Elite Dangerous

you get 90% of the value back when you trade in for another ship, or you can always store all the modules and re-use the ones you can on the new ship and sell the others (100% return) so there's no great loss in giving it a go.

Re: Elite Dangerous

I just pipped the 50 mil point in my Type 7 trucking about for one of the Sha Gigas factions. Now I'm allied with them I'm getting 10-15 mil missions, which are pretty easy to pick off in 2-3 runs with a 300 ton cargo hold. I don't bother with shields or weapons in that because I've not once lost th...

Re: Shared Facebook Profiles

I enjoy the cross-section of humanity that is Facebook groups, but yes shared profiles sound the under-the-thumb claxon really loud. See also shared emails, and, in fact, shared anything.

I had to the leave the local town group because the rage got too much
