Re: what car thread - Lotus Edition
BGR is the only allowed green. This has to go into the pantheon of massive incorrectness I'm afraid. Oak and Viper on 911s, Boston on e36s, Verde Scuro or Verde Miura on Lamborghini Miuras, Verde Francesca or Pino Verde on Ferraris - the list goes on and on! If you are talking solely about Elises t...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Steve the CRV has a slipping clutch, so going into the garage next week. Borrowing my Dads Jazz and this morning the battery stopped holding charge, called breakdown and got a replacement battery, exactly same price as Eurocarparts, so saved a lot of hassle, but still took 4 hours of my day away in ...

Re: Randomness
If I knew there would be a serious attempt with Pagni support, I would give a few ££ to a patreon.
Re: Bean Test
I like Beans on Cheese on Toast, a bit of black pepper. Ratio of 1 tin to 2 slices of toast (medium toasted, lightly toasted is too floppy when soaks up the bean juice and well done, sauce does not soak in well enough). I prefer seeded wholemeal, but 50/50 or white is okay. Sourdough does not soak u...

Re: Damage from Neighbours Vegetation
I once used chemicals to kill off overgrowth on my property, it turned out that the plants were growing from the adjoining property, but it was not possible to know this at the time and they inadvertently died.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
How do cars park without crossing the cycle lane in that clip ?
Not a London road expert, but I do know red route bylaws allow crossing of cycle lanes on certain situations.

Re: Tyres
What do you all use for boring cars? Realised the rear tyres on the focus must be the original continental eco contact’s from 2019 when the car was first put in the road, and the sidewalls are showing a decent amount of cracking. Fronts it came with aren’t anything special, some triangles or some o...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Gave Steve the CRV a wash, gave a quick once over with diluted gloss to aid drying. Continues to be boringly reliable. https://i.ibb.co/PjKZmXw/IMG-20240920-145649.jpg That looks sparkling - your quick once over is way better than my full wash! It had a recent polish and sealant (carplan, nothing f...

The full article is paywalled but the headline is all you need  https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09/17/train-cancelled-squirrels-board-refuse-to-leave-surrey/ A great workaround for most news sites is to put https://archive.is/ in front of the original https://www.etc…. and it’ll give you...
Re: Twitter
I don't think I follow anybody who still posts. Everything else is news tweets from companies/organisations that I follow and generally get the same info elsewhere. I've mass deleted most of my posts, was in the thousands and wont be posting again, I visit twitter about once a week at most. I've got...

Went out for a drive to Squires Bar/Cafe east of Leeds on Tuesday. Took a nice scenic route via Otley, Harwood House and Tadcaster. Its traditionally a place for bikers to meet, but they have monthly car meets in the field and was a Jap car meet on. Managed to get a cracking photo... https://i.ibb.c...
