An American house actually built with brick!
Still only felt shingles on the roof though

Re: Today’s want
Just stick a lotus Carlton gearbox in.
That’s the main thing I seem to remember people talking about at the time - the corvette gearbox

Young people also have no idea how monumentally shite the vast majority of autos were until well into the 2000s

Glad I was watching highlights not live

Re: Other boring motor race.
Btcc is at snetterton, it’s been raining on and off all day. Last race and half the track is dry, half soaked, field is a mix of slicks and dry tyres!

I have never seen one of those before!
Only cabrio I’ve seen was the one built for Mrs Agnelli based on an evo.
I like the ducktail spoiler. I expect it’s somewhat flexible on cornering

Re: Bucket list items.
I don’t really have anything exciting. I’d like to get all of the cars I currently own back on the road at some point before I die, that’s about it

Re: Your fleet running reports
I probably wouldn’t want the car back, it just wouldn’t be the same. However I’d like the people caught. Probably wouldn’t pay £260 a year for a miniscule chance of that happening though
Re: Choose
Tyre technology moves on, I wonder how a landsail compares to the original equipment 30 year old Michelins or whatever it would have worn at launch?

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
I’m not voting because I have some ridiculous notion that if turnout is historically low all the parties might have a think about why that might be and make some changes.
I know they won’t, but none of them deserve the effort to get out and cross the box.

Re: Choose
I’d still take an F40 over anything ideally an LM, but I’m not going to be too fussy. Mclaren f1 lm road car would always be second to one, but definitely very high on my list. Ah, didn’t even read the options properly, thought the last one was Singer or anything else. From that list F1, wouldn’t gi...
Re: Cazoo
A friend bought a car from them, it had dodgy tyres and was losing coolant. Of course they collected and refunded with no problem, but just transporting the car twice probably wiped out any profit they had in it. You don’t need many like that before the business starts being unsustainable. Cars didn...

I for one am already looking forward to buying an f40 with all the extra money I as a normal boring working person will have after a couple of years of labour government

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
I’m probably not going to bother voting. I’m not going to pretend I’m happy with the way things have been going, but I’m not sure labour would have done much better or will do in the future. It’s very easy to make great sound bites saying how bad everything is when you’re in opposition, but they nev...

Re: Seatbelts on planes
Several other nasty injuries from people and things getting thrown around. I don’t take my seatbelt off in the car when there’s no other traffic around and put it back on when a crash is more likely. I don’t think they should force you to always wear one, but it seems like common sense to still have...

Re: Seatbelts on planes
I don’t fly that often but have always kept it on, just loosened a couple of fingers worth most of the time but pulled tighter when it gets a bit bumpy or the warning lights come on.
Just seems like common sense

Re: Your fleet running reports
I have discovered that if you put the M135i in to 'TRACTION' mode (a single press of the TC button) it pops and crackles like an absolute motherfucker on the overrun - about as much, if not more than in sport+, but without the firm gearchanges, heavy steering etc. I am absolutely not being a child ...

Re: Convert a car seat to an office chair?
Car / plane seats are great because they’re designed to be sat in in a fixed position for 3+ hours at a time. You can’t really adjust your position much while driving. I don’t know many people who sit rigidly in an office chair without getting up for a few minutes or adjusting their position / postu...

Re: No F1 thread?
Nice to see others closing the cap to RB at last. Wonder if Lando would have been able to make a move if he didn’t come out behind Perez after his pit stop? That’s racing I guess, at that point I expected his race to have been completely ruined. As for Perez, 8th behind both Mclarens, both Ferraris ...
