Re: Seatbelts on planes

I don’t fly that often but have always kept it on, just loosened a couple of fingers worth most of the time but pulled tighter when it gets a bit bumpy or the warning lights come on.

Just seems like common sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: Your fleet running reports

I have discovered that if you put the M135i in to 'TRACTION' mode (a single press of the TC button) it pops and crackles like an absolute motherfucker on the overrun - about as much, if not more than in sport+, but without the firm gearchanges, heavy steering etc. I am absolutely not being a child ...

Re: Convert a car seat to an office chair?

Car / plane seats are great because they’re designed to be sat in in a fixed position for 3+ hours at a time. You can’t really adjust your position much while driving. I don’t know many people who sit rigidly in an office chair without getting up for a few minutes or adjusting their position / postu...

Re: No F1 thread?

Nice to see others closing the cap to RB at last. Wonder if Lando would have been able to make a move if he didn’t come out behind Perez after his pit stop? That’s racing I guess, at that point I expected his race to have been completely ruined. As for Perez, 8th behind both Mclarens, both Ferraris ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I was kind of looking at these a long long while ago. Would have had to be a blue, manual estate, preferably with a black interior. As you can imagine, specific spec W8 passats don’t come up that often.

Plus they’re heavy, thirsty and not very quick. Still interesting though.

Re: Tesla Cyberpuke

So they have now stopped fitting the crazy looking wheel covers, for the specially designed tyres, because customers were finding they were cutting the sidewalls. How does that not get picked up in testing?? So you get just the bare wheel, no nut cover or centre cap, so on your £100k truck you get t...

Just looked like whisky grey cloud with a touch of light pollution. I expressed my dissapointment by having a piss https://i.imgur.com/49Nbs65.jpeg Didn’t think any of my own photos had captured anything until looking the next morning and seeing one with some colour, but very blurry 😅 ( I had drunk ...

Re: Today’s want

It's a Merc "thing" innit, putting everything on one stalk. I hate it too. The Vito was the same and didn't even have the excuse of needing the other side for the shifter. Not just that though! Indicators, main beams and wipers on one stalk, cruise control on another stalk, steering wheel...

Re: Today’s want

I presume they want some sort of lever for ‘manual’ shifts. Sticking it on the column would mean always auto unless you add flappy paddles and clutter. I hate the bmw shifter though, it looks rubbish in normal cars. Why they have to make it look like something from a 90s arcade flying game I don’t k...

Surely no one at Morgan can be happy with it either.

Wonder if it’s some weird condition if being allowed to use bmw power plants that it has to stay?

does it give absurd bhp or not? I doubt it, they were only around 250bhp from the original 3.2l Probably sounds quite nice though! we're spoilt by ///M specific power outputs! My 4 door bmw having 70bhp more, being rwd, and worth about 1/3rd as much as a decent 156 gta was why I never bought one. I...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Well, to be honest it would be nice to see solar all over supermarket / factory / warehouse roofs which is just dead wasted space instead of covering fields with it, but obviously there are logistic and structural issues with that which probably make it many times more expensive to install and maint...

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1

Will just be what PH defaults it to based on the reg. you would hope the 140 kit has something approaching 140hp (or PS) 😄

Hmm, looks a decent price. Am I ready for a full on mid life crisis yet? 🤔

Re: No F1 thread?

Yep, struggling with tyres. Apparently if you over drive even a fraction it would overheat the outer surface losing grip, but the actual carcass wouldn’t warm up, but the Mclaren was good at evenly heating the entire structure. The Race on YouTube normally have decent little vids that explain the te...

I like the overall shape, I just think the black bits at the back don’t look great.
