Re: What would you buy again and why?

Dave's phone pix 008.jpg Without a shadow of doubt it would be my old Golf mk2 G60. Basically a "mildy" tweeked supercharged 8v Gti & LHD We first saw it at Bodelwyddan Castle, North Wales at All Types VW show. Sat in the car park in a field me and the kids walked over to it for a nos...

Re: Rate your mobile network.

We have a mix of 02 and EE/BT here in the Peak District. 2 phones solely on 02 (contract) which never have any issues and then I'm on BT as Sim only. I've always been on either EE / BT and never had any problems with coverage unless I've disappeared up into the Highlands ( but that'd be the same wha...

Time Team (returns)

Not sure if it's of any interest to you rabble but Time Team is back. There's new presenters but with endorsements from Tony Robinson, it promises t be an updated version of old. You may well recognise a few familiar faces from the original series as well. Sadly there are also a few who are no longe...

Re: End of an era

Could it be that they're dropping the separate subscriber issue and you'll get the retail version? Hope not! It's not much of a bonus but the subs cover is pretty nice. I've had a reply ( via twitter ) to forward my "end of sub" email back to eds@EVO.co.uk, so we will wait and see what th...

He's a bloke very local to us so it's great to recognise lots of the local area and shows a good bit of variety too. Not afraid to show how much he earns on the sale of the cars as well as how much he spends getting them fixed prior to sale.

Re: End of an era

Well I haven't cancelled, but I have received an e-mail this morning saying that I've received my last ever issue of Evo and referring to cancellation of my subscription. I subscribe by direct debit, which is taken in two payments each year and the next payment is not due until the end of July. So ...

Re: Taylor Hawkins

After watching the Grammys tribute earlier, this popped up on the recommended videos to watch. Made as a special for their 25th anniversary it just shows a snippet into their history. You can clearly see how close they all are; the Band's humour; the mutual respect/piss taking of each other and the ...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Instead of crofters giving up land for this sort of reason, they'd rather we bought a house somewhere else and commuted to the croft which just seems utterly nuts I thought a Croft was working the land where you live? Otherwise it’s more of an allotment? :? We're moving up to help with runnin...

Re: Taylor Hawkins

Seems like I'm not the only one walking around in a daze after the tragic events of the weekend. As Dave says above, there is no real reason for people to feel this way but we do. Don't think anybody here had met him either and yet here I am in mourning like I've lost a close friend. Echoing what As...

Just to go full circle on this thread, I rewatched this to test my new headphones. Here's Richard the drummer who's likely now frantically speeddialing the Foo's non-stop. https://youtu.be/Ll7lfZZjR4A This is one of the many reasons why I love the band, they're always appreciating their fans. It really is the gift that keeps on giving. Eldest came back from Uni late Thursday and felt a bit rough with the a dry cough every now and then. We certainly weren't that concerned with being in the same car as him for 3 hours. Friday morning he was still groggy so took a quick test which turned ou...

Re: Taylor Hawkins

Weirdly the news of his passing has really hit me. Heard about it this morning when I checked the news and have been in a bit of a daze since. Been a huge fan since the Foos started, loved their music obviously but also just how they were as a band. They always seemed to be a group of mates having t...
