Re: Decorators

I must be one of the lucky few then I guess. Yes he's a mate I've known for many years but his work (and knowledge) is immense. Every house we have has been decorated superbly my him. I may have to wait but I know that is because he's so popular. If anybody needs any work in the High Peak / Buxton o...

Re: MK4 Golf/Bora Haynes Manuel anyone?

Strangely enough I've just bought a MK4 Golf Anniversary Tdi. Picked it up this morning from somewhere south of Watford where they speak funny
Is it still available and where-ish are you ? Would happily Paypal postage over if need be ?

Re: Death

If i reach 50 then that'll be a big milestone for me. My workaholic dad died in '86 when he was 49. Drank and smoked more than he should and had a high powered stressful job. I was 15. I'm 49 this year so things are always on my mind. My brother is a couple of years older than me so he's made it 8-)...

Theres something fascinating about Volvos that I can never put my finger on. A stupid fast 240 estate sleeper would be high on my lottery win list .

Re: Mental Health

Good luck everybody who is suffering. Luckily I have been pretty constant the last few months. A couple of blips where I can feel myself sliding down into that black void but I've managed to climb out. It really is a horrible thing to have to live with. I have suffered for the past 7 years approx. h...

Re: Forza Horizon 4

Just started playing this via the Ms Game pass thing.
I've got to Winter season, is there a time in the game where the club's become available ?
I've tried searching via the Xbox app and can't find you scoundrels.
Ps game epic, mk2 golf with widebody is a hoot.

Re: Pocket Money

A4 list of general chores (Hoover rooms, wash up, feed dog etc) = £5 week . Bonus( if previous completed) and they do 2 hours outside exercise Saturday and Sunday = £5. Since we've done this the house is spotless and they spend less time inside - result ;)

Some people are so ungrateful ;) I had to hire in a model at a huge outlay, then alter the time so they were all wrong, charge my phone to take a few random snaps and then upload them for your delectation

Re: The Watches Thread

Does nobody on here have cheap watches? The most I've spent is £300 and that was with Mr Tesco and his tokens :D

I still would love a pricey watch but love the cheap stuff too.

I'll post some pix up of the SO EXCITING collection when I've finished this assignment

Re: Been a shitty week

Sincere condolences to you and your family. Condolences Mark. I often think dying suddenly and unexpectedly is more merciful than, say, after a long protracted, painful and hopeless illness, but it does rob one of that crucial element of being able to say goodbye. Thankfully nobody else got hurt, as...

It turned out to be fairly simple to end it after that. Emailed and they replied after 10 mins saying "thanks and bye bye ;) " I managed to get this months issue sent out again in the end as its not arrived yet. Does anyone remember when EVO used to give out freebies - not just stickers ei...

EOTR - Evo Magazine

Well after reading EVO since Issue 1, I've made the decision to cancel my subscription. Reading through a few comments here and on FB made me think about how little I actually read the magazine nowadays. It used to get get cover to cover religiously, but now its the Fast Fleet and a quick flick thro...

Re: Forum Roll Call BUT pictures rather than words

We both loved the M240i but with a 9-month old black lab in the family now it was far from ideal. Neither of us are big 1-series or 3-series fans, so jumping over to Audi for a car she's always liked seemed a natural choice, and all the better that the most recent iteration of it is knocking on 400...
