Re: Evo magazine

Who knows how this will pan out given the state of the print industry and where Youtube is now. What are circulation figures like these days for evo? Talking about buying evo, any suggestions for how to get rid of a large collection? Am assuming only the first 10 or so will be worth sticking on eBa...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

It's on everyone to look out for each other and ride/drive considerately and pay attention to what's going on. I don't think these small cycle lanes which often share the same pavement with pedestrians are helpful for anyone. They just introduce conflict. Segregation is the way to go. There's some a...

All the figures I can remember having are from the same part of RotJ: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276065808425?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338365712&toolid=20006&customid=EB215424710& https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176342325008?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&am...

Re: In a galaxy, far, far away... (Wick, early 80s)

@Ascender I reckon you've got some good stuff there. Beware someone on the Starwars forum saying "Nah, it's not worth much, but I'll take it off your hands". I was surprised by how good condition most of it was. It was well played with but has been in boxes so I guess nothing is real...

Re: The Movie Thread

Anatomy of a Fall (Prime) Very, very confusing. Watched it in two sittings as I fell asleep first time round although that's not the film's fault. The lead is fantastic, carrying the whole film, and the plot leaves you guessing with no obvious outcome. I do hope the portrayal of the functioning of ...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I love the whole "lycra" thing which often comes up against cyclists. It's a weird one because nobody else doing some sort of activity gets slagged off for wearing appropriate clothing. Its not like you go and play fives with the people from work whilst wearing your suit and brogues.

In a galaxy, far, far away... (Wick, early 80s)

Have just found all my Star Wars stuff in the loft. Talk about bringing back memories.... And most of it in pretty good condition given how much I played with it. I've chucked a post up on a Star Wars forum to see what it's worth. Otherwise I'll just convince myself it's a good idea to start collect...

It's not full jobbo (never go full jobbo, at least not with your own money), but how do we feel about the reddish brown dash top & carpet ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355690001258 s-l1600 (5).jpg (yes, I'm mildly obsessing atm, but any purchase will hinge on selling the Spur & the Cayenne, ...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Final week of painting commences... It's amazing what you can do when you can find some great tradesmen. They've also recommended a couple of roofers for the new place who've both responded to texts which is a start. This house had some of those built-in wardrobes with mirrored sliding doors. In my ...

I really like the front-end and the Daytona middle section, but the back just looks a mess. Maybe its the two-tone colour exaggerating it in all the wrong places?

Ah, simpler times. They don't make 'em like that anymore. The armwrestling is just the icing on the cake. Two stories I heard this week from podcasts and books... Duff McKagan when trying to kick his vodka habit switched to wine. 10 bottles a day. And Paul Gascoigne was having a crap game in the fir...

I'd assume any farmer will have at least a shotgun given how easy they are to get and how they need them for their job. So... fuck around and find out. Will be interesting to see how this pans out. Its been something we'd been discussing here actually as I've been learning to shoot and next move wil...

@DeskJockey - it was the Rated People app/website. We've had a reasonable hit rate with that one.

Re: The House Projects Thread

I like the part of painting the big bits in the middle with a roller or brush. Very satisfying. Its the cutting in bit I don't like and anything fiddly where I usually lost patience.

I was happy as a pig in shit at the weekend doing all the fences and sheds last week with the spray gun.

Re: The House Projects Thread

It's been a mad week but big strides forward. It's amazing what you can do if you get lucky with the "find a trade" type websites. Two guys responded to the ad for tiling the small bathroom. Both came round. One was half the price of the other and said he could do the job this week. He's b...
