Re: New new new new Top Gear

So, iPlayer, how do I watch the latest episode? If I go in to the Top Gear section or search for “Top Gear” it brings up a timeline of 160 episodes starting with series 1, episode 1 of the new show from 2002. Any way to get to series 31 without just scrolling right for a week? Had to have a quick lo...

https://www.dkeng.co.uk/ferrari-sales/1543/prestige_cars/alpina_b3_touring.html 🤤 That's fantastic. Great colour inside and out and as rapid a daily as you'd need. Lovely!! Lovely car but 80K?? When did that happen? The colour inside is just too bright though isn't it? Its so close to being a class...

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report

Whenever we had a new pup we'd leave the radio on overnight and if we went out. We had a decent amount of snow last night so took the gang out to a big field so they could run around. Its brilliant seeing dogs play in snow, they seem to have a genuine love for it. It even had our old bod running aro...

Thanks for the reminder about Guy Martin @speedingfine, I'd seen an advert for this and then totally forgotten about it.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report

Yeah, dogs are generally quite happy to be left like that unless they have separation anxiety and the like. They sleep a hell of a lot, more than most people think. Walk before work and will be quite happy til you get back. Especially if the heating is on.

Re: The Movie Thread

The Amazing Spiderman .... I know these were hated by the comic book nerds (who apparently hate pretty much every Spiderman movie because they're not "authentic" to the comics) but I thought it was OK. Nowhere near as good as the best Raimi ones or the new ones, but it was enjoyable enoug...

Re: The Movie Thread

I really quite enjoyed Let There be Carnage but it was as derivative as could be. I liked the inner monologue and banter - am impressed with what Serkis did with a limited script. Definite promise there.

Why does Venom look like Spiderman though with the eyes?

Re: The Movie Thread

Disappointed to hear about The French Dispatch as I love his movies. It’s been one of those write-off days due to whatever is wrong with me so watched some total nonsense as a result…. Venom - Utter tripe. Venom Let There Be Carnage - Utter tripe. But quite good fun, entertaining and I liked the sen...

Re: New Ferrari Cheesegrater/Daytona

The thing about some recent Ferrari designs is that I like them, but they don't necessarily look like Ferraris if that makes sense? They just seem a bit derivative of current design trends. I think the back-end of this one looks incredible, but take the prancing horses off it and it could be anything.

Re: Decent Recent TV

The latest series of American Horror Story was quite good. They always seem to run out of steam near the end, but this time they had split the series in two, with entirely different stories both of which were pretty damn good.

Re: New Ferrari Cheesegrater/Daytona

Here's the evo article with some pictures of the 829bhp mid-mounted V12 special. Its a definite departure compared to the SP1 and SP2 designs.

I think I kind of like it...

I'll have to check Legion out.

I still have The Leftovers to watch which gets great recommendations as one of those brilliant shows which was overlooked at the time.

Still enjoying new Dexter much more than I thought I would

I think Harris is living the dream. He gets to do the serious review bit and also gets paid to arse about in cars with a couple of guys he seems to genuinely get on with.

Re: The Movie Thread

I can't remember a movie in recent times which has had such massively polarising reviews as Ghost Busters. Quite a few saying its terrible, many more saying its average and a few saying its AMAZING. I've heard quite a few people saying the original ones just aren't as good as we all like to remember...

Re: Windows 11 (aka FAO Beany)

I've been using it on the Mac for a while now and its fine, I quite like it, seems stable and fast. I did have a shock yesterday when I bought a secondhand Dell server for some virtualisation stuff. Thought I'd just install Windows Server 2012 on it and a day later its finally on. Of course, I now n...

£750 AT-AT now adjusted down to £700, to balance with other markets or some crap. Still expensive for a static plastic dog. I didn't realise how expensive it was - I did see the article on it and it looks epic, but who knows where I'd put it. I've still got my original one from childhood in the lof...
