Dropped the spare M3 wheels off today to get the Alpin's on them. Had forgotten about TPMS though so will just go with normal valves on them for the time being I think.
Of course, I had to use the Navara to do it as we've been in what the Daily Fail would call a snowpocalypse if it had happened ...

Re: The Movie Thread
Black Bag is great, one of my favourite movies of the year.
I've seen a few reviews of Avatar 3 where they've said it's a cinematic spectacle, has to be seen on a massive screen, but that the actual story. plot characters etc are all utter bobbins. I still find it a bit strange that James Cameron ...

Re: Restomod Esprit
Just in case anyone needs reminding how good the V8 that you’re about to pull apart looks. Particularly on these wheels (better than the Sport350 wheels for me).

Re: Harry’s Garage
I did think he might have gone for the DBX given the price of some of those now - much nicer from the outside but the interior also looks a bit bland.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I see a few Maseratis around me because there’s a dealer on the high street, but i can see why most are black, because when you can see the details (particularly the rear qtr) they are pretty ugly! The interior looks shit too.
The engine does seem to do the job though.
Oh, the rear and rear ...

Re: Harry’s Garage
I really like the look of it, was surprised by how much it cost (in a good way) although I guess the devil could be in the details - i.e. running costs.
The only thing that bothered me way too much is the model designation on the front wings which I think looks absolutely awful.
I did also wonder ...

Re: Car Hire Lottery
The Hilux had to go in for a dreaded sensor replacement so I had to hire something to get me round Edinburgh for a few days. Enterprise gave me a Volvo XC40.

With a lot of these restomod cars, you'd have to really, really love the original to spend that sort of money on them given the spec and what else you could buy for the cash.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Cycling is so convenient in central, and the real massive win is when I need to visit multiple places in town, on a bike it's so quick to whizz between locations. When I was doing triathlon I also used to run too, it's about 8 miles from Soho to my place, so I'd get the train in which would take ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Obviously I left the search for winter tyres for the M3 too late as usual so had trouble tracking down stuff in the stock sizes, but managed to get some Michelin Alpin 5's which should be here this week. Bargain at about £400-each each

Predator badlands even stupider and more sanitised than you might expect but, I still enjoyed it.
Really really REALLY turn off your brain and the fight sequences are decent and bits are very very funny.

I see Shmeeeee has done a long piece on the market and how the bubble is bursting all over the place for every brand. Which I guess is just common sense, but does make you wonder about where this is going to end up for companies like Ferrari in particular.

Re: How important is the "Right" spec?
Depends on the car and the cost (what will it be used for... a main car, weekend one only etc) along with what options are standard, what are extras and what I think are must-haves. Not too bothered about options having an effect on resale value as I think that's perhaps something that's not really ...

Re: Porsche's finances
I know we'd spoken about this before Jobbo , but I'm not sure, given the price of all cars these days, if paying RRP for a GT3 in your own spec is a "sensible" thing to do or not if its going to be your final, never to be sold car that you hold on to for life. So not something to try and flip, but ...

That Pump clip was also the first thing that came to my mind, nice to see it popping up again.

100% coverage, with 100% butter and on hot toast so it goes nice and soft but doesn't become liquid.
