Re: Restomod Esprit

With a lot of these restomod cars, you'd have to really, really love the original to spend that sort of money on them given the spec and what else you could buy for the cash.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Cycling is so convenient in central, and the real massive win is when I need to visit multiple places in town, on a bike it's so quick to whizz between locations. When I was doing triathlon I also used to run too, it's about 8 miles from Soho to my place, so I'd get the train in which would take ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Obviously I left the search for winter tyres for the M3 too late as usual so had trouble tracking down stuff in the stock sizes, but managed to get some Michelin Alpin 5's which should be here this week. Bargain at about £400-each each

Predator badlands even stupider and more sanitised than you might expect but, I still enjoyed it.

Really really REALLY turn off your brain and the fight sequences are decent and bits are very very funny.

Four high foots out of five.

I really enjoyed that. I thought the trailer looked ...

Re: Porsche's finances

I see Shmeeeee has done a long piece on the market and how the bubble is bursting all over the place for every brand. Which I guess is just common sense, but does make you wonder about where this is going to end up for companies like Ferrari in particular.

He also makes the point that apparently ...

Re: How important is the "Right" spec?

Depends on the car and the cost (what will it be used for... a main car, weekend one only etc) along with what options are standard, what are extras and what I think are must-haves. Not too bothered about options having an effect on resale value as I think that's perhaps something that's not really ...

Re: Porsche's finances

I know we'd spoken about this before Jobbo , but I'm not sure, given the price of all cars these days, if paying RRP for a GT3 in your own spec is a "sensible" thing to do or not if its going to be your final, never to be sold car that you hold on to for life. So not something to try and flip, but ...

That's very sad to hear, 68 seems way too early, fuck cancer.

That Pump clip was also the first thing that came to my mind, nice to see it popping up again.

100% coverage, with 100% butter and on hot toast so it goes nice and soft but doesn't become liquid.

Re: Pointless speed limit changes

Did some of these confusing, short-distance limits on approach to villages pop up during COVID or have I misremembered that? And did I also misremember that they were supposed to be coming back out post-COVID?

Anyone got any decent gigs lined up to go see the end of this year?

I'm off to see Elvana at Leeds O2 academy at the end of this month, who are supposed to be pretty decent and good fun by the sound of it.

Oh and Madness in the big arena in December, thats for the boy (9 years old) as they're ...

@Ascender tyre storage option 😉

I can only imagine the cost!

Have you looked at winters for the Touring yet? I must do something about it soon before we end up with winters being hard to get.

Thanks both. I know its pretty simple stuff but always good to get some first-hand feedback on stuff in use.

I'm also locked into Ring, so that part makes sense I guess!

I wasn’t a fan of the steering wheel. Porsche offered a much more attractive wheel at the time than that one - can’t understand why they fitted something which would have been in a basic Boxster, just trimmed in alcantara.

Re: The House Projects Thread

I think I'm going to put a solar panel on the shed/store to power an indoor light and maybe some other small stuff. Has anyone done this sort of thing on outbuildings before? I was also wondering about what I'd need to power a couple of cameras down at the horse field too. Is that something you've ...

Re: Harry’s Garage

That GT2 RS is a beautiful thing. The interior, steering wheel etc looks positively retro now.

I wasn't sure about the carbon bonnet in that colour, but maybe it stood out more because of the lighting in his garage.

I really would like to drive some GT cars to see how they all compare in the real ...

I liked the Weapons trailer, seemed like an interesting premise and its just been released to buy on Apple TV so thought I'd give it a watch.

Fvck me. What a ride of absolute insanity through tense thriller to WTAF.

Well worth watching.

Re: New Testarossa

The Testarossa was my ultimate dream car as a teenager so when I saw the post title I was instantly excited. I think I'm disappointed though, especially as you can see cues from their 80s cars in little bits, but I think it just looks like another modern Ferrari unfortunately.
