Re: Which M3?
The Petroyle car is a work of art. I can see why someone would pay £120k for that.

Re: Which M3?
You could leave big fuckoff darkies on the floor as you leave the petrol station in m-dynamic mode
Re: EV Thread
I'm sure it will as long as you have a compatible charger.Matty wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 4:08 pm
I'm with Octopus, but they won't offer me their tariff as apparently the Honda E isn't compatible with their intelligent charging, so just bump me to the cheap overnight standard tariff.
Re: EV Thread
So based on previous comments, I've decided it'll be better just to get a proper charger installed.
Any reason to get a local sparky to do an off the shelf one, Vs one fitted (usually more expensive) via one of the energy providers? Latter does give you some better deals, but savings are marginal ...
Re: Which M3?
Having owned an e46 and e92, the e92 is the better car. The V8 is an absolute work of art and feels truly special. People are drawn more to the e46 because it look so “right”, but having lived with both i even prefer the e92 looks too.
Owned both as well and couldn't agree more, the E92 was ...

Re: Should I be getting paid for appearing on a TV documentary?
Opened a tin of tuna yesterday that was only 10 months past it's best before date and although not rancid it was definitely past it's best. Colour was grey with the odd yellowy bit and it tasted slightly bitter and metallic!
I was gutted binning it as I thought tinned stuff was good for decades ...

Do BMW still offer an extended warranty for reasonable money?
If not some brave pills needed on either of those

Fab city car, nice to see the use of essential knobs and buttons
Re: EV Thread
I used a 3pin on my i3 Rex with no issues as do many.
As Jobbo mentions they only pull 10a max and the one I had could be set at 8 and 6 if required. I've never heard of a car or charger fire but can see how a long constant load could expose poor wiring. They aren't drawing anymore than a washing ...

Re: M5 test drive report and new car thread
It's been 10 years since I owned a BMW - I sold my F11 535i Touring around spring 2016. I sort of assumed that controls would have similar labels now but it's not quite the case. Just discovered that S mode on the gearbox isn't Sport as I had anticipated, it's manual - S stands for Sequential ...

Love it.
The colour is fantastic as is the bright interior, a black interior with a bold exterior would be the obvious dullards choice

Re: FTAO EV owners - what brake "maintenance" do you perform?
The Smart doesn't use regen when the battery is 100% and it tells you this the first few miles to allow for a different brake feel.
I suppose this is also a cleaning and maintenance exercise.

Same here my wife has had 7 lease cars the last 15 years and although all had some minor dings, scuffs etc only 1 we paid a charge for and that had a nasty down to the metal scuff across the back of passenger door going in to the front of rear door, I had touched it in but it really needed painting ...

Re: Decent Recent TV
I'll take a look at that tonight as it looks different.
I can't recall it mentioned here but I just watched S1 and 2 of Paradise a post apocalyptic crime drama similar in premise to Silo but less Sci-fi if your not into that.
Well worth a watch and all episodes are available now.

Re: Mini E
Mini E was technically an i3 wasn’t it? At least I remember all the technical stuff underneath the i3 having Mini logos on it. I think I’d just go for an i3 which is more spacious, better city car, rwd, better quality materials.
Battery and drivetrain is based on the 33kw i3 so likely to be ...
