Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
Vote Lib Dem. If it’s enough to stop either of the others getting a majority it’ll be a good thing. We all know what we’ll get from Labour. Years of everything still being shit but “it’s not our fault the conservatives did it”. Then the money hose gets turned on and everything is brilliant…. until ...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
I’m probably not going to bother voting. I’m not going to pretend I’m happy with the way things have been going, but I’m not sure labour would have done much better or will do in the future. Vote Lib Dem. If it’s enough to stop either of the others getting a majority it’ll be a good thing. We all k...

Re: Seatbelts on planes
The rules are probably quite appropriate for the risk, from business insider: According to data from the Federal Aviation Administration, just 163 people were seriously injured by turbulence between 2009 and 2022 — an average of less than 12 people a year. The majority, 129, were crew members. In 20...

Re: Seatbelts on planes
Used to fly a lot for work and major turbulence was quite uncommon (if things are obviously bad it gets flown around unless there's no option) in several hundred flights I've only experienced it twice (once mid atlantic and once on a decent into Douglas on the IoM in heavy weather) the rest has been...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I have discovered that if you put the M135i in to 'TRACTION' mode (a single press of the TC button) it pops and crackles like an absolute motherfucker on the overrun - about as much, if not more than in sport+, but without the firm gearchanges, heavy steering etc. I am absolutely not being a child ...

Re: TVR Chimaera Thread
Time to update the thread. MOT passed last month with advise of corroded rear discs so a set of Delphi discs and pads were procured for £59 from GSF (got to love a light car with old ford parts on it). Fited and then it developed a squeak from the rear passenger side (like a buckle in the disc). Pul...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Never had an EGR/emissions issue and had nothing but Dervs since 2016. Have you ever opened one of them up for a look inside though ? Mine has full main agent service history and no warning lights. If I wasn't me I'd never have known. Took the manifold off the l200 2 years ago now (we were doing va...
Re: Rum Fred
I don't drink gin, the wife does. Occasionally have a white rum and coke in the sun and for that we have a 5 year old Havana club. It's a nice drink in the sun. I still mostly drink bourbon and coke if I'm drinking spirits with a mixer. Specifically bullett bourbon, jack Daniel's rye (not the crap n...
Re: Puzzle
I found myself in a meeting having a similar quandary to this. The other people didn't get there could be multiple answers to the same question based on a condition (well actually ibfurthe complicated things by adding a third variable in the equation) further back in the problem that I didn't have t...

118bhp??? No way with cam and throttle body upgrades or just PH defaults?
Fibreglass osmosis or microblistering of the paint? Osmosis might be a bit full on extreme if it's microblistered and can be sanded. dried and painted.
Even with that at 13k it seems good value.

Re: Dogecoin etc
I was chatting to a friend at the weekend who has invested in something called Hyperfund which looks to trade these low value coins. He's already got back his original investment having pulled it out via a crypto exchange but what would concern me is that he has introduced others (some investing qu...

Re: Your fleet running reports
My first i3 I bought during COVID as I needed a runaround and fancied a try in an EV. I really enjoyed it so ordered the s which upped the fun stakes. They were bought to try something new and really worked for me so no regrets. My wife's Sportage will likely be replaced with an EV in the next 12 m...

I've taken this as a green light as long as I move on the i3s so I've ordered an M2 for September delivery. Its nice to have something to look forward too. CAF 8-) But electric to petrol? Do you not care about the planet or any of our futures? Aren't we always told that those who have gone electric...

A very early supporter of lawnmower racing. We’re about £400,000 short of this. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/125466722#/?channel=RES_BUY You then have a lake and a lot of land aswell. Dave! That ticks a lot of boxes for me. Same, just a shame about where in the country it is. But then if it was down here it would be £2m without the...

Re: Your fleet running reports
The 1 355 I’ve been in felt like a kit car compared to the 1 360 I’ve driven. Proof if needed that the 360’is a better bet if you want to drive it. Or if you are a man with taste and an ability to attract the finest of ladies, get a 512 TR in black with caramel interior. Dave! I don't doubt that, a...
