Re: The Movie Thread

Ghostbusters Afterlife … Exactly like Beany said, I thought it was fantastic fun. Lovely nods to the original all the way through and I thought the setting was a good idea, taking it out of the big city. The effects were well done and the a final cameo was spookily (no pun intended) brilliant - gre...

Superb / passat / V90

All solid choices

Mondeo estate is probably worth considering also.

Swallow a big brave pill and go for an xc90 or really ropey cayenne

Re: Video door bells

Ditto on the ring wired doorbell, just worth noting that it needs a 5-6v feed and not 230-240v as a lot of doorbells have. You can get an adaptor or swap doorbell for around £12 to one that has a transformer in it and then use existing bell wiring from that to feed the ring doorbell itself.

Re: The Movie Thread

I was about to ask if anybody had watched the new Matrix movie yet. The reviews have been all over the place. I'd suggest that younger reviewers won't have had the same visceral reaction to the first movies (i was early 20's) and won't be as scathing as older reviewers who expect more. It is a litt...

Matrix Resurrections.

Familiar and strange at the same time, very meta.

Probably needs a couple of watches to get everything - special effects are pretty special in places and there are some familiar faces to smooth the journey and explain wtf is going on.

Re: No F1 thread?

Absolute travesty and a piss poor interpretation of regulation 48.12 which clearly says all lapped cars...... not just the ones separating the race leader and second place. If they had stayed as a buffer MV would have cleared them in half a lap and then would have had to pass LH fairly on track and ...

Re: No F1 thread?

Bonkers race - MV is a danger and a petulant child, interesting that LH was given a wrist slapping immediately when he didn't give MV the space that he wouldn't get if the positions were reversed - seems the stewards and whole race safety team are trying to mollify MV and whinger spice who seem to e...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjgEQgU83XU I remember when they built that in Max Power. Ditto to that - I remember it being insane at the time, also remember the Astra that you briefly see with the other max power cars - had a massive want for the Tecnomagnesio Detroit F1 wheels on it at the time...
