Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

Very caramel and toffee. Don't like the rear screens (always looks naff), but the rest is rather lovely.

That's a 600+ mile round-trip. Considered taking the train?

@Sundayjumper that makes sense. You can say you've ticked the box, and sell it.

Re: Dangerous beers...

I’ve had a very non-dangerous beer today because I was using a chainsaw and driving afterwards. https://i.ibb.co/LJ2ZmWx/IMG-0203.jpg I haven’t had a 0% beer in a years, this was alright and had an ice tea aftertaste. But I don’t think I’d call it beer - more of a soft drink. Meh, will just buy a c...

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?

Calculated that driving to my dad's instead of flying saves about £3-500 and a tonne of CO2 compared to flying. How far is that, and is that based on several people? I did some rough calcs and it seemed that flying would be more CO2 efficient for travelling alone for Italy. IIRC Copenhagen, and it’...

Re: Dangerous beers...

I have fond memories of my dad introducing me to Pelforth Brune (and Poker) on a family holiday to France when I was 13. Not sure he was aware that it is 6.5%.

I don't often have beer in the house, so it is a rare treat.

Dangerous beers...

On my third Pelforth Brune and it is going down like nobody's business while tasting like heaven. I might regret this later.

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?

It is the (perceived) freedom of the road. You going wherever your want, at whatever pace. I love driving holidays and for us it makes financial as well as environmental sense, when we're traveling five up. Calculated that driving to my dad's instead of flying saves about £3-500 and a tonne of CO2 c...

A8 and, I think, the Phaeton.

Edit: what about a Phaeton?

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

Is there a currentish Lexus LS400 equivalent? Or what about an Audi A7?

Edit: they do an S7 diesel. Looks like a four door coupé version of Jobbo's estate.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Currently sat waiting at a garage while they fit a new exhaust. They need to cut more of the pipe than they expected as it is not looking great. Well get it up on a ramp when we're back home to have it gone over properly to see if there's something more that needs doing. Can't remember the last time...
