Re: Your fleet running reports
Every so often, I've noticed the ABS light popping on after a minute or so of driving the 928. I suspect the wiring harnesses are getting a bit crusty as a lot of the sheathing has started to disintegrate. I'll strip them all off, inspect them, fix any issues I find and then re-wrap them. I also ...

Sorry to hear the, Si. I'm sure you've given Sausage the best life possible.
Also, Colin is probably the ultimate name for a Daschund (for those of use of a certain age anyway!).

My deLonghi Magnifica S is still giving sterling service after maybe 5 years of daily use. Prior to that I had an Aeropress but the Magnifica makes a far better tasting coffee. It's less than £250 now too. Clicky

Re: Your fleet running reports
From the talk about it on the 968uk forum, it might be that A/C was rarely specified option on the 968 irrespective of being a CS or Sport. Maybe if people were buying them back in the 90s in the Mediterranean it would be a more common option. 968s were obviously a bit poverty spec compared to the ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
968 - a fellow 968 owner who I've known for years happens to have a spare bitsa exhaust, so hopefully we can fit it this Sunday. Feels like it's taken too long to get it sorted, but then I doubt I'd be driving it much during these heatwaves.
ClubSport was an A/C delete wasn't it? The recent ...

Re: WiFi Signal Boosters
I tried getting a UDR7 and they were permanently out of stock. Ended up using an Amplifi router directly connected to my ONT and a couple of mesh points covering the back of the house and upstairs. For the first time since I've been in this house, I've got perfect Wifi coverage with zero issues and ...

Re: Claude Ai
We have CoPilot at work. I use it to write unit tests and that's it. It's clearly defined and small scope so it's good at that. I usually have to tweak it a bit but on the whole it saves me a fair amount of time. Every time I've asked it to do something more significant, it's royally fucked it up ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve got sucked into the spiral of adding shiny bits which make other bits look grotty so you end up tidying more bits up
New coolant tank. I believe it’s from a later 33 as there was a bracket on the underside I had to snip off, and the shape is very slightly different, the strengthening ...

Given that Farage once lost to a man dressed as a dolphin, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that history could repeat itself. Hell, if I lived in Clacton, I'd vote for Binface.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Finally got the rad fitted to the 928. The RadTec unit is very well made - all aluminium (the end tanks are plastic on the Behr original) and has a bigger core and it fitted perfectly. I'm considering taking the expansion tank off and cleaning it out as it's difficult to visually check the coolant ...

Alexander's car from the 928 mailing list. One of the fans packed up halfway around. I think Misha was impressed though.

I fucking despise Farage. He's a lying, grifting cunt - that people fall for his utter bullshit is constant source of bafflement to me.

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Probably won’t appeal to many, but it’s good for showing some of the rampant rust they were renowned for, I have never seen such crusty aluminium, and also quite good for seeing how the engine both sits in the car and comes apart.

Re: SG54LAM update (amongst some other nice cars)
I haven't watched it all yet. Absolutely awesome to have the space to house that in your garden at home, but £50k in 1996 is the equivalent of £104k today. He's ended up with what I suspect is a fairly niche property from a resale perspective...... :? Is that folly, or a lesson in cunning ...

Re: Car insurance
928 insurance is due in a couple of months and unless it's a ludicrous premium I'm going to go with Locktons. Purely because I'll get European Breakdown and Recovery plus a hire car to continue the trip if the car isn't fixable in 48 hours. Getting European cover on a 39 year old car is virtually ...
