Re: Bye Bye Burnham
If this goes tits up and there another leadership challenge in the next 12 months we might as well just admit defeat and give Farage his turn.
Farage will never be Prime Minister. It involves hard work, something he famously avoids. He's in it purely to enrich himself by rousing the gullible ...

Set aside a few hours to go through changing settings then
I turned off the wanky noise and graphics when you get in/start up as well.
For some reason the first thing that came to mind was the Aston thing of Power, control, beauty or whatever that was.
Then I imagined a screen that ...

Re: Harry’s Garage
I like the all-white wheel. I think the leather-covered horn push looks nicer on Harry's car than the plastic one that was fitted and wasn't original anyway, but I've always dislike that steering wheel design so I'd still suggest he fits one of these instead: https://www.design911.co.uk/p/sports ...

Re: Harry’s Garage
I was randomly browsing cars a few weeks ago and a nice 928 came up, relatively low miles and it was only in the mid 20's. I thought they cost far more than that but then again it was an auto and I just assume old automatics are hateful in anything vaguely performance orientated.
The manual box ...

Re: Weekend toy £25k
The roof on the Boxster RS is a massive PITA. One of the guys I know in TIPEC had one and he hated it. 981 generation is where you need to be for that kind of money. It's just all round better.

Re: Weekend toy £25k
£25K will get you into a nice 981 generation Boxster. Stick with the 2.7 and you have zero bore score worries or issues. Whilst an Elise is ultimately a more focused driving machine a Boxster gives a much better balance of driving and comfort/practicality. Hell, you can easily do a European driving ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
928 performed admirably over almost 1100 miles of driving in Ireland. However, not long into the trip, I had a coolant light come on one morning when I started the car. It was pissing down with rain so couldn't tell if anything was leaking. Topped it off and carried on. This became a regular feature ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Came across a set of improved injectors for the bargain price of £164. Ordered and they'll be here Friday. I'll try and carve out some time when I get back to get them fitted. Should hopefully take a couple of hours.

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?
I'm off to Ireland on Saturday with TIPEC for 6 days. Ferry from Holyhead to Dublin, then across to Galway, Galway to Dingle, Dingle to Kinsale, Kinsale to Leixlip, then back to Dublin.
TIPEC road trips are always awesome. We've done Germany 2023, Germany/Switzerland 2024 and Scottish Highlands ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
928 is running a little warmer now the fans aren't running continuously. It seems to have coincided with return of the mysterious hot start issue I had. It will almost catch but never start unless I plant the throttle to the floor. My money's on either a leaky injector or a duff fuel pressure ...
Re: Ukraine
It's like the situation has now been reversed thanks to the leaps Ukraine has made in drone tech. The longer the war goes on, the more it favours Ukraine. Ukraine's killing Russian men and materiel faster than it can be replaced. The more it hits targets inside Russia, the more the Russian general ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Comb flap actuator for the HVAC has a vacuum leak which meant the flap kept rising up then falling as it gained and lost vacuum, making a repetitive banging noise as it did so . As replacement requires removal of the centre console, I've applied a temporary fix which involved disconnecting it from ...

I've been banging on about Mr Inbetween for ages to a couple of mates and they've both finally watched it and said how great is was. I'd be suspicious of anyone that didn't like it, tbh!
