I vote for Munich
Fantastic Deutches Museum (technical stuff), nice aircraft museum about 25min from the city center, BMW World & museum.
It was also a very rich city so lots of impressive buildings, history, etc....

If you like modern dive adventure, Shadow divers by Roberth Kurson. It's the true story about larger than life characters who ares trying to identify a sunken U boat. Very enjoyable. Currently reading his follow up book, Pirate hunters. The same author also wrote Rocket men. All 3 books are highly r...

Re: Lotus Emira
Emira V6 is 258 g/km and AMG version 208 g/km. I would love an Emira. However, taxes in Flanders are rather spicy. V6 : registration tax 13170 Euro + yearly road tax 1153 Euro AMG : registration tax 3635 Euro + yearly road tax 525 Euro No wonder you don't see to many Emira V6's in Belgium.

Getting a new tattoo later today then tomorrow I am marshalling a crazy ultra run bike run that my wife is taking part in. 15 mile run, 25 mile cycle then a wee 10k to finish it off! Starts at 2pm, round Kielder so many will finish in the dark! (which reminds me, must put her running torch and the ...

For these conditions, light brown lenses also do the trick.
I strongly prefer Serengeti glasses. Not the cheapest option, but in my opinion well worth it.

Only go to Belgian GP is you can camp on the side. Traffic getting in and out is just terrible. Keeps me from going and I just live 1.5hrs away.Broccers wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 8:21 pm Ticket prices would be a factor.

Not an event and perhaps not what you are looking for.
But Stuttgart is well worth the trip; Porsche Museum is simply superb, Mercedes museum is nice & well executed. And of course Technik Museums Speyer Sinsheim are just around the corner. BMW in Munich isn't that far away either.....

Re: New car sales
Truly think that a lot of companies are working on principal of "lets do less and charge more to keep our profits up". We had a great deal on our M2 comp and were thinking of changing it for the new M2. New M2 is more than 40% more expensive. Some price hike was to be expected, but 40% inc...

I strongly prefer memory foam matrasses.

EVO should give you a monthly column. Much more insightful and entertaining than most professional writers.
And bring back SSO garage updates as well.
Thank you for the smiles and frowns (each AM analyses).

Finished Andy Weir's new novel, Project Hail Mary over the weekend. Really enjoyable and a bit of an evolution in style from The Martian (and the fairly forgettable Artemis) Reading Project Hail Mary now, about halfway. Indeed enjoyable, but with strong Martian vibes (lone guy working using science...

Quicker than an M2? Not possible!
Fact that I have an M2 is of course completely irrelevant.

Alfa SZ A few years ago, my budget was just a little to low to find a decent SZ. Since then, prices have doubled. Lancia Integrale Evo Same story. Still pales in comparison to passing up on a F1 of course. However, with hindsight every decision is easy. Should have bought bitcoins when they went for...

I"m sure it will be very capable and super fast. But it somehow does not excite me. Exterior is almost an update of the 570 and the new engine configuration just leaves me cold. Not a good sign for a new model that is supposed to take McLaren into future. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to ...

Re: Decent Recent TV
I tried the expanse a few times but couldn’t get into it. I first read the books, but also needed some time to get my head around the storyline. I think that a very short introduction about the different alliances (earth, mars and the belt) would make it a lot easier to get into the swing of things...
