Re: what car thread - Lotus Edition

From one tart to another, I can confirm an S1 Elise is a fabulous thing. I was in the same mindset as you for some time when an unmodified, very low mileage 1997 S1 in titanium/red popped up with one of the familiar dealers. The deal was made over the phone and the car picked up a week later in Stut...

Re: 2023/4 Events - what's worthwhile?

Should you be in the vicinity of the Nürburgring this weekend, pop in to the Oldtimer Grand Prix. It's a grand old event with over 500 race cars competing over three days.

I'm in the DRM Revival and the Historic Championship 81 with the Alfa Romeo GTAM.

Re: Jobbo interior

The lower dash being the colour of the seats is great. If it was black it would just look like the seats had been taken from a different car. It ties the interior colour scheme together. It looks awkward in the pic, does it line up with the door cards? It does. Interesting detail I wasn't aware of:...

Re: Jobbo interior

I have finally found some real world photos of the Cayenne interior we've ordered. Quite pleased how Jobbo it is: That is really quite lovely, indeed! This is the interior of the M3 Touring I just took delivery of. Medium Jobbo I'd say, non? https://scontent.flux3-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/4488...

Lotus Elise S1 - tyres?

My recently acquired Elise came with 12 year-old Toyo Proxes and I don't really trust them much. I know a few of you have had extensive experience with Elises, what tyres would you suggest? This is by no means a track car, but I'd like rubber that can cope with a semi-professional RACE driver using ...

December 2022, actually. Supposed to be built in May this year.

Apparently, the carbon seats option has slowed things down a bit. Whatever, I might sell it straight away anyway.

1997, barely 10k km, titanium/red, completely original, Alpine front loader 3 CD radio, from Germany. Always wanted one since fiest seeing it at the 1996 IAA in Frankfurt. That's after the MMC disks were replaced by steels I suspect - is that the case or is yours a late MMC model? I have no idea ho...

F1 rejects Andretti bid to enter F1 in 2025.

The club is closed guys
F1 would rather see Machine Cunt Kelly on the Grid than Mario Fucking Andretti, former World Champion of the sport.

Re: Manual or Auto

As I am an up and coming RACE driver, I only drive EXTREME sports cars, including for the daily commute to the TRACK. All those cars come in manuel as a matter of course.

In real life, however, PDK is sublime for all situations. I do prefer the six speed manuel of the R though, gun to my head.

For actual racing activities, I've been using a pair of OMP Carrera mid cut vintage boot (sic) for years now and it's been great.
