Re: Drugs don’t work

I'd support the legalisation of weed but only in edibles. I hate the smell of the stuff. If you're caught smoking it, you should be loaded into a catapult and shot out to sea.

Jimmy knows his tea.
I should hope so! I did work for a probiotic tea company and had the person who set up Clipper and the person who ran it after he left running it.

Re: Bad tea

Teabag and milk should never be in the cup together. Dave is the beneficiary of the old adage that a cup of tea which someone makes for you always tastes better than one you have to make for yourself. Gratitude clearly makes up for a lot 😄 I'm the opposite. A cuppa I make myself is always better th...

I've been getting into NASCAR too. Once you get past the "they just turn left", there's some fairly nuanced racing going on.

I watch all the Supercars on Youtube. It's definitely my favourite race series.

True, but Oz isn't a big enough market to support Holden and a domestic Ford product line. With Toyota coming in, it should spice things up further.

And at least they're racing V8 RWD cars and not 4 pot FWD shopping cars.

Thruxton is a great circuit, and my local(ish) circuit. I seem to remember one particularly fast, buttock clenching right hander. edit: ah, yes, 1m20 in. Yeti service (and a dust!) due but at the same time the dash has lit up like the proverbial Christmas tree. Suspect an ABS sensor has triggered all three warning lights. If I can find a garage that won't charge me £80 to do a ten min diagnostic check then they can just fix it. Otherwise looking at ...

Re: It's nice having friends and it's also nice driving Porsches

Three laps? Right, no warm up or cool down. Try to watch some videos before you go to learn the track 😄 I downloaded Thruxton into Assetto Corsa and have been blatting round in a virtual 718 S so I know which way it goes. It's much more fun in an F3 car, though. Warm up is just spinning up the rear...

It's nice having friends and it's also nice driving Porsches

After last year when Jobbo invited me to Silverstone to rag the shit out of a couple of Porsches at the Porsche experience, I've just been given a voucher to drive a Caymen round Thruxton from a friend who won it but had already paid for that experience. She offered it out on FB and I was first to b...
