Re: Jaguar?

Driving to a site this morning I noticed that they have a shop front covered up at 55 Knightsbridge - presumably the launch showroom?

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've got a couple of these -

They're good, but will only give you a couple of attempts at starting before dying (and the crocodile clips on one pack needed reassembling out of the box).

It isn't a joke! It was once a red light district, but it's not anymore, you go to the Dorchester bar on Park Lane if you want a sex worker  Shepherd Market is a historic part of Mayfair, it was once a market and is now the backstreets lined with bars/restaurants where people who work around M...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

All I can say is that the owner had a laminated bit of A4 in the windscreen proclaiming it thus. I would imagine the Jag owners club would police this aggressively. That said, I don't think the vents at the top of the front bumper were there on the early XKR-S. I don’t understand why you’d modify t...

Re: ftao Lahndahners

Mercato Mayfair is a fun stop.. good beer and wine, plus lots of small pop up restaurants over 3 levels (basement has great sushi) for a very reasonable price. Berkeley Sq has all the usual, expensive but not overly good places if you want to play tourist - hakkasan is the best there imho. Best rec...

Re: Do you have locking wheel nuts?

I think it must be twenty years since I've seen a car on bricks missing the wheels.

I tend to take them off any car that we have that's more than a few years old - this thread has reminded me that I have yet to do the X5.

Re: Elon Musk/Tesla

It’s ridiculous, but…. If you don’t give it to the needy - what do you do with it? :? Own a thousand cars - which one do you drive? Own 50 properties all over the world. Which one are you staying in tonight? One four thousand pairs of trainers. Which one are you wearing? We all want things, but whe...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The ebay classified listing for the 530d ended on Monday. 30 days with no genuine interest. Not a single request to come and see it. Despite it being the cheapest F10 530d listed and having a higher spec than any of them regardless of price. Enquiries received were all one of the following: * "...

Re: Your fleet running reports

If it helps at all, B6 / B8 (shorter version of the B6) are a great choice. I have B8 on the 996 and I like them a lot. Yeah I'm a bit averse to lowering it given it's rollin' on 19s and the ride is....sporting enough as it is ;) Also as it stands I have zero problems with speed bumps etc. I'll fid...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Bought in 2017 for £21.5k with 27,000 miles (sold with 10,000 miles) 10,000 more miles I assume, rather than clocked  I know that's over 8 years but when you have two other Land Rovers that's not a bad amount of usage. Yes - edited. The other two have only done about 200 miles combined over th...

Re: Your fleet running reports

EOTR: Land Rover Defender. Advertised it at £28,750 in the end (anything similar above that isn't selling). Didn't get any private enquiries other than scammers, and one trade enquiry, so sold it to the trader for £25k this morning - a nice easy sale when I'm 100 miles away from the car. Bought in 2...

Re: Your fleet running reports

They’re pretty difficult to price. I think I’ll put it up for £31k. Did not know they went for that sort of money, cult car I guess. Green one looks great to me though. It’s more than I paid for it 8 years ago, but thats where the market is. Similar cars are £29-36k. Anything cheaper tends to be in...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I like the white one but I also like the green one. I take it keeping two feels unjustifiable? There’s also a red one…. Ha. Nice. How much will you be looking for for the green one out of interest? They’re pretty difficult to price. I think I’ll put it up for £31k. 2 owner, 37k miles, air condition...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Finally sorted out taxing the white Landrover for the first time in 7 years (it fell through the DVLA cracks by being sorned, then becoming tax exempt during lockdown, and I’ve been too busy to sort it since it got put back together 2 years ago). Celebrated by driving to the pub, then spent six hour...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I don’t think either of my Z4s had auto tilt (both with electric seats, one with folding mirrors). I had them before Bluetooth bmw coders were cheap/available, so didn’t try to do anything about it, but seem to remember that it wasn’t an issue anyway because you hardly needed to dip them to see the ...
