Re: Decent Recent TV

Beckham documentary. I don’t have any interest in football at all however enjoyed this. Yes it’s a lot of Beckham love however being younger at the time I had forgotten all the hate thrown his way when he was sent off. Dark Winds - this is excellent and a nice short series. Series two is now airing....

Re: Decent Recent TV

Succession We've just recently started watching this I'm not sure how I feel about it Everyone is so hateful, I'm struggling to find something that makes me want to watch more of it Other than the sheer car-crashness of it all, which isn't all that entertaining... yeah, I thought the same. I didn't...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Just finished Boiling Point, it’s very good however doesn’t have the intensity of the film from last year and certainly not as good as the Bear.

We love Race Across The World but with The Reckoning and MAFS are a bit behind. I thought the Canada one was one of the best series though all have been great. Willing Billy and Bonnie to win this one. It originally passed us by and we only became aware of it with a live episode to go on series two...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Race across the world. Loved the first two series. The third one was OK even though they kept it to Canada only, the scenery was stunning.
Thought they might have sold out now it’s gone to BBC1 and “celebrity” however it’s been good so far.

The morning show is still as good as ever on AppleTV+

Re: Decent Recent TV

I'm enjoying The Reckoning about Jimmy Savile. Coogan plays him really well. As soon as I heard the voice it sounded familiar; of course, Coogan voiced the Savile puppet on Spitting Image. Still not sure it's quite right to show it, but it does seem to give the BBC an excuse to use old footage of a...

Re: Decent Recent TV

I binge-watched both seasons of The Bear over the last few weeks and the whole thing is absolutely brilliant. I worked in a few kitchens when I was younger and it's all so perfectly spot-on and the way they show the difficulties in running a restaurant is perfect. Also the family stuff is powerful ...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Just finishing the last season of Snowfall S06. Which has been solid all the way through.

Mr Inbetween has been outstanding and along with The Bear is my favourite show of recent times.

About to start the final season of Jack Ryan.

Re: Decent Recent TV

I watched the first ep of Blue Lights purely by accident - it was absolute dog shit. Terrible acting and utterly boring plot. That’s a shame, it appeared to be filmed in a documentary style drama. I’m not sure how the plot was boring from episode one though? It was pretty decent all the way through.

Re: Decent Recent TV

Succession - season four I’m waiting until the second from last episode is aired. Risky strategy.... be aware of spoilers in the most unlikely of places is all I'll say. I'd be tempted to watch the first few episodes. It looks like you jinxed me Mike, spoilers have found me! I will be starting to w...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Not in any particular order. Dope sick. Bear. The Piano - I haven’t stopped thinking about this since I watched it a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t normally watch something like this. I missed this back in 2019, it’s on iPlayer and series three is currently showing - Race across the World. Really enjoyed...

evo Subscription.

Good morning!

I’m not sure if anyone still subs to the magazine, I cancelled mine when Trot started the rot however lockdown tempted me this morning for the digital app for £6.02 for twelve months.
